We figured the best way to seal it was with 4 screws on the end.
I hope everyone has a Philipps Screw driver.
A medium or large will do the job. It is not necessary to
take the screws all the way out, in fact it is better if
you do not do this as you will only wear the threads in the wood.
Unscrew them Half Way only and the top
will release easily and you wont lose the screws!!

.
When you get the top off, it will be easy to pull out the cardboard
box.
.
The cardboard box simply lifts apart and you will then find the
violin case.
This is not the type of case that comes with the EV-1. The EV-1
case that you will receive is
much nicer than this one
.
When you put it all back together for shipment, please line up the
marks as shown in the photo below so that the screws and holes will line
up perfectly.
.
.
WE will use UPS for shipping and we will give each of you our UPS
number to use so there will be no charges on your part. Just call
UPS and they will come and pick it up and pass it to the next person.
UPS will give you a tracking number when they pick up and it is best if
you email this number to me and to the person you are sending the violin
to. If you go to the UPS site and have the number, you can watch
it move across the country. Play with it for a couple of days and
then ship it on and email me with your comments. Most important,
we want comments on the neck angle as it is not as pronounced as on a normal
violin. Some say that they prefer this angle once they get used to it.
You are welcome to use the bow in the case but your own is probably best as it will be rosined up.
I will be in touch with each of you and may expand on this page as Evie makes her rounds to see you all. She is black with gold sparkles and very formal in appearance. The rosewood accessories contrast the black sparkle. If you want to change the appearance of your EV, it is no problem, just let me know and I will change your factory order.
